little bit human
mind, body, spirit nourishment
Come grow with me.
What does it mean to be
a little bit human?
We are all a little bit of
our past, our present, our future.
We are all a little bit of
our thoughts, our beliefs, our feelings.
We are all a little bit of
our monsters, our shadows, our fears.
We are all a little bit of
our desires, our curiosities, our passions.
We are all a little bit of
our community - our families, our friends, our work.
We are all a little bit of
our environment - the archaea, the bacteria, the fungi.
We are all a little bit of
what we consume - the plants, the animals, the art.
We are all a little bit of
the earth, the sky, the air, the fire, the water.
We are all a little bit of
the sun, the moon, the stars.
We are all a little bit of
ourselves and a little bit of everyone else.
I am a little bit of you
and you are a little bit of me.
We are all a little bit human.
We all need nourishment
the earth, the plants, the microbes, the animals, and us
nourish (v.)
1. : nurture, rear
2. : promote the growth of
3. : support
We need to nourish our bodies with proper rest, supportive movement, and food that is clean and nutritious. We need to nourish ourselves by giving ourselves permission to feel and honor our emotions, let them move through us, and express them. We need to nourish ourselves through meaningful connection, building relationships and communities grounded in care, honesty, and a commitment to collective thriving.
